On Tuesday, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger held a news conference addressing election security, as Georgia’s June 9 primary was plagued by widespread problems with the delivery of mail ballots and long lines at the polls. As many as 1,000 Georgians may have cast ballots both by mail and in person in June.

In August, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden outraised President Trump by $154.5 million. Trump’s re-election campaign raised $210 million in August, which was their biggest month yet, but well short of Biden’s fundraising. 

According to a Monmouth University poll released Thursday, more than half of registered voters nationwide prefer Biden, while only 42 percent favor Trump. Biden’s transition team has expanded its fundraising goal, aiming to bring in at least $7 million to fund planning of a potential Biden administration. They are also aiming to build a staff of at least 350 people by Election Day.
