Media coverage of 2020 Presidential candidates
This month in review: the latest roundup from the presidential race.
Biden maintained his top rank in media coverage this week, but Andrew Yang has continued to climb from 8th to 5th to 4th since speaking at the third debate. However, his media coverage might not be all positive.
Andrew Yang has been known as a candidate with unique ways to utilize government funds such as his famous plan of instating a universal basic income. This week, however, Yang “made a splash during Thursday's debate by announcing that he would be giving away $1,000 a month for a year to 10 lucky Americans who entered his "Freedom Dividend" raffle, but now he's looking to them for donations to his campaign.” Many found this announcement to be foreshadowing Yang’s presidency–though he asserts UBI will be “no strings attached” as he said about the raffle on his website, perhaps there is more to it than he claims.
