A recent poll conducted by USA TODAY/Suffolk University shows former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead over Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) being sliced in half.

Additionally, the majority of Democratic respondents said they could still change their minds.

Since the last USA TODAY/Suffolk Poll in August, Biden’s lead over Warren dropped from 18 percentage points to 9 -- with Biden’s standing falling by 6 points while Warren’s rose by 3.

The results of the poll also suggested that future change is likely imminent, with 18% of Democratic voters being undecided and, of those who selected a preferred candidate, 57% who said their minds were not made up.

The new poll also shows that Republican support for President Trump remains high despite the ongoing impeachment inquiry -- with 86% saying the president will win reelection.

A left-leaning article from Politico highlights that only a select few of the large Democratic field command the vast majority of the likely Democratic vote. Only four of the Democratic candidates -- Joe Biden (26%), Elizabeth Warren (17%), Bernie Sanders (13%), and Pete Buttigieg (10%) -- achieved double digit support in the survey. Additionally, the article reports that, so far, only those four candidates have qualified for the next debate on Dec. 19. The requirements for the next debate -- hosted by Politico and PBS -- are marks of 4 percent in two DNC-approved polls and a threshold of 200,000 donors.

The Hill published a centrist article focusing on the results of a Politico/Morning Consult poll that asked respondents if they, as well as the nation as a whole, were ready to have an openly gay/lesbian president. According to the article, 50% of respondents said they were either definitely or probably ready for an openly gay president while only 40% said they thought the U.S. was ready. The survey comes as Mayor of South Bend, Ind. Pete Buttigieg -- the first serious contender for president who’s openly gay -- has risen in recent polls and currently sits in fourth place in the race for the Democratic nomination.

A right-leaning Fox News article details recent criticism launched at Biden from author David Limbaugh. According to the article, Limbaugh said Biden is the “worst kind of demagogue” who will “switch his position like a chameleon if it’ll help him” after Biden switched his position on abortion. Fox News reports that Limbaugh also took aim at the Democrats as a whole, warning what would happen if they win the 2020 election. Limbaugh says that Democrats are against free enterprise, support open borders, and support abortion “up to the moment of birth.”
