On Thursday, President Joe Biden stood in Louisiana to pressure GOP lawmakers to support his $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan. While left-leaning articles highlight that dueling proposals to fund the nation’s ailing infrastructure network follow a line of presidents that couldn’t make transformational investments in infrastructure, right-leaning articles highlight that Biden significantly misstated estimates on how many jobs would be created through the implantation of his “American Jobs Plan.”

A left-leaning article by The Washington Post highlights that dueling proposals to fund the nation’s ailing infrastructure network follow a line of presidents that couldn’t make transformational investments in infrastructure. Experts say achieving Biden’s ambitions would take a level of creativity and perseverance.

AP News published a centrist article reporting that Biden chose to speak in the city of Lake Charles, which is home to a badly aging 70-year-old bridge. Biden is trying to sell Republican voters on the idea that higher corporate taxes can provide $115 billion for roads and bridges.

A right-leaning article by Fox News highlights that Biden significantly misstated estimates on how many jobs would be created through the implantation of his “American Jobs Plan.” The article notes that in his latest pitch, the president claimed he would add 16 million jobs to the economy — well above actual projections.
