With the 2022 midterms fast approaching, Democrats have become frustrated with President Joe Biden’s handling of issues such as rising inflation and the Supreme Court. While left-leaning articles highlight critiques by progressives about Biden’s “laser focus” on inflation, right-leaning articles highlight frustration from progressives over Biden’s handling of the Supreme Court.

A left-leaning article from Politico focuses on how the upcoming midterm elections have made progressives unhappy with how President Joe Biden has let “the Federal Reserve do whatever it deems fit” in regards to inflation. Many progressives believe that this messaging will make matters worse and that Biden should, instead, focus on other issues like child care and prescription drug prices. This dichotomy represents a larger policy difference between moderates and progressives as the latter tend to believe that inflation will ease on its own.

The Hill published a centrist article reporting on Democrats’ frustration with Biden’s handling of hot-button issues before the 2022 midterm elections. While many Americans seem unhappy with the administration, the article notes that Biden’s hands are tied with most of these issues and he has tried to alleviate some of them.

A right-leaning article from Fox News focuses on Democrats’ dissatisfaction due to Biden’s unwillingness to expand the Supreme Court. A Politico report published on Thursday demonstrated how members of a bipartisan commission organized by Biden to explore Supreme Court reforms view the President as “hopelessly naive.”
