This week, Democratic foes of prominent Republicans announced they are running for governor of their respective states. While left-leaning articles highlight that Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2022, right-leaning articles highlight that Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, a longtime Democratic foe of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, announced she is running for governor.

A left-leaning article by The Washington Post highlights that Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2022. Hobbes also denounced the Republican-controlled state Senate’s ongoing audit of the 2020 presidential election.

Kennedy was a Democrat who became a Republican and was first elected in 2016 with 61 percent of the vote in his state.

A right-leaning article by Fox News highlights Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, a longtime Democratic foe of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced she is running for governor. DeSantis said that Fried has “done nothing in office.”
