According to the president of Ukraine, Volodymr Zelenskyy, investigators at a mass grave site in Ukraine have discovered evidence that some of the deceased were tortured, including victims with shattered limbs and cords around their necks.

Newsweek published a centrist article quoting Zelensky who said, "We want the world to know what is really happening and what the Russian occupation has led to: Bucha, Mariupol, now, unfortunately, Izyum," referencing other sites of alleged Russian war crimes against civilians. "Russia leaves death everywhere."

A left-leaning article from the Washington Post highlights that Zelenskyy says more than 440 graves have been found and appears to be one of the largest discovered in Ukraine. Amnesty International says mass burial site confirmed "our darkest fears". Russian officials distanced themselves from responsibility for the site. A Ukrainian official says "torture chambers" have been found in Kharkiv region's recaptured towns.

A right-leaning article from Fox News highlights how Zelenksyy said that over the last week, more than 400 cities and towns have been liberated from Russian occupation. Zelenskyy said he expected to obtain additional information on the mass grave site Friday and said Ukrainian and international journalists would be allowed into the recently secured city. "We want the world to know what is really happening and what the Russian occupation has led to," he continued. "Russia leaves death everywhere. And it must be held accountable for that".
