On Friday, the Supreme Court rejected a widely panned bid by Texas to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s election win. While left-leaning articles highlight that no justice indicated any endorsement of Texas’ arguments, right-leaning articles highlight that while the order does not foreclose any other pending or future election appeals at the Supreme Court, time is running out.

A left-leaning article by Politico highlights that no justice indicated any endorsement of Texas’ arguments, as the decision brought an abrupt, unceremonious end to Trump’s legal effort to scrap the democratic process in order to preserve his presidency. The Supreme Court’s action is likely the end of the line for Trump’s legal push to reverse his defeat, as dozens of courts have swatted down his team’s efforts to scrap the results of the election.

The Hill published a centrist article reporting that the ruling was a blow to Trump and the 18 GOP state attorneys general and 126 House Republicans who backed the lawsuit. In a fiery response brief Thursday, Pennsylvania’s attorney general called Texas’ bid to invalidate election results a “seditious abuse of the judicial process.”

A right-leaning article by Fox News highlights that while the order does not foreclose any other pending or future election appeals at the Supreme Court, time is running out. President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, told Fox News’ “Hannity” Friday night that the president’s legal team isn’t done with its election challenges.
