On Thursday, President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Bien tussled over health care, the economy, and the nation’s response to the coronavirus pandemic in a final debate Thursday. While left-leaning articles highlight that Trump’s performance was riddled with false claims, right-leaning articles highlight that Trump brought up the recent news reports of past communications between Joe Biden’s son, Hunter and his business partners.

CNN published a left-leaning article highlighting that Trump’s debate performance was riddled with false claims, while Biden’s misstatements were more on the margins. Amongst Trump’s false claims included the claim that coronavirus was “going away” and that the Covid-19 vaccine was ready.

USA Today published a centrist article reporting that Trump and Biden slammed each other’s records during the 90-minute debate, with both demanding time to respond to each other’s accusations. Trump went hard on accusations against Biden’s son, Hunter, while Biden noted Trump’s foreign real estate holdings.

Fox News published a right-leaning article highlighting that the Hunter Biden debate exchange followed the recent news reports of past communications between Joe Biden’s son, Hunter and his business partners. An hour before the debate, Tony Bobulinski, an old business partner of Hunter Biden, delivered a statement claiming he’d worked with the elder Biden.
