President Trump and his Democratic opponent Joe Biden are preparing for the first presidential debate on Tuesday. While left-leaning articles highlight that Trump told associates he wants to talk specifically about Biden’s son, right-leaning articles highlight that Trump said Biden will “do fine” at the debate because his team will give him “a shot of something.”

A left-leaning article by The Washington Post highlights that Trump told associates that he wants to talk specifically about Biden’s son, and that Biden and his advisers are preparing to counter attacks with an affirmative case for a Biden presidency. Some of Biden’s supporters fret that he might be rusty when he confronts what could be some of the most vicious in-person criticism.

Newsweek published a centrist article reporting that the publication will be running a tracker that looks at what social media and online forums are talking about regarding the presidential election. Many conversations were found to be increasingly centered around Biden’s mental capacities and capabilities, as the sentiment around him is increasingly volatile.

A right-leaning article by Fox News highlights that President Trump said Biden will “do fine” at Tuesday’s presidential debate because his team will give him “a shot of something.” Trump also criticized Biden for not releasing a list of potential Supreme Court nominees.
