On Saturday, President Trump walked unusually slow down a ramp after speaking at West Point. While left-leaning articles highlight that President Trump’s daughter-in-law insists that Trump has no health issues, right-leaning articles highlight that mainstream media would take any chance to denigrate the president.

A left-leaning article by HuffPost highlights that Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, defended his awkward walk down a ramp and difficulty lifting a glass of water. The article notes that the ramp was dry and lined with no-slip strips and the weather was clear.

The Hill published a centrist article reporting that the hashtags “#TrumpIsUnwell” and “TRUMPstroke” were trending on Twitter late Saturday and early Sunday. The article notes that Trump defended himself on Twitter stating, “The last thing I was going to do is 'fall' for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!”

The Boston Herald published a right-leaning article highlighting that because it afforded a chance to denigrate the president, mainstream media such as CNN insisted that Trump’s slow walk down the West Point ramp was real news. The article also notes that Trump just turned 74 and is the oldest person elected to a first term as president.
