We ran the numbers: There are 1739 news articles covering this topic. 52% (896) are left leaning, 29% (508) center, 19% (335) right leaning.

A new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows that former Vice President Joe Biden has 52 percent of the vote compared to Trump’s 37 percent. While left-leaning articles highlight that all polls show Biden leading Trump overall, right-leaning articles highlight that a Monmouth University poll of Pennsylvania found Biden leading Trump by 13 points in Pennsylvania.

The New York Times published a left-leaning article highlighting that all polls, including an NBC/Wall Street Journal survey, showed Biden leading Trump overall. The article notes that Trump has consistently had higher approval ratings on economic issues than for his overall performance, and his campaign clearly understands that, given that on Wednesday Vice President Mike Pence sought to portray Biden as a threat to the economy.

The Hill published a centrist article reporting that in a switch from last month, respondents said that Biden would do a better job handling the U.S. economy, with 50 percent backing him and 45 percent choosing Trump. The article notes that Biden’s recent surge is largely due to independent voters, with Biden leading among the group 51 percent to 34 percent.

A right-leaning article by The Washington Examiner highlights that a Monmouth University poll of Pennsylvania voters found that 53% supported Biden and 40% supported Trump. The poll found that in Pennsylvania’s swing counties, Biden is in a position similar to where Hillary Clinton was in 2016, but Trump is doing slightly better in core Clinton counties.
