We ran the numbers: There are 2315 news articles covering this topic. 36% (832) are left leaning, 38% (870) center, 26% (613) right leaning.

Recent polls reveal that Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren is at the top of Democrats’ list for former Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate. While left-leaning articles highlight the possibility of Biden being a one-term president, right-leaning articles highlight that Warren is not a good pick.

A left-leaning article by The New York Times highlights that Biden has hinted that he might serve as a one-term president, making the ramifications of his vice-presidential pick profound. Biden has talked publicly about potential candidates to an “unusual degree,” from talking to Senator Amy Klobuchar, to holding personal phone calls with Senators Kamala Harris of California and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.

CBS published a centrist article reporting that a CBS News poll shows that 71% of Democratic voters say Elizabeth Warren should be considered for vice president. Warren greatly outpaces other possible picks as voters’ first choice for vice president, with 36% of voters putting Warren as their first choice, followed by Kamala Harris at 19%.

A right-leaning article by Washington Examiner highlights Warren is not a safe option for Biden, as she ran a campaign as far left economically as that of Bernie Sanders. The article states that “Warren is all risk, no reward,” and that a black or midwestern running mate would bring obvious benefits.
