Former Vice President Joe Biden has seen a surge of momentum following endorsements from Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and former mayor of South Bend, Indiana Pete Buttigieg. While left-leaning articles report that the Sanders campaign was caught off guard by Joe Biden’s new backings, right-leaning articles highlight that Sanders’ platform will hurt small business owners.

A left-leaning article by The New York Times highlights that the Sanders campaign was caught off guard by the quick massing of opposition against him. Former Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, Sanders’ onetime boss and longtime mentor, also notified Sanders he planned to endorse Biden. Sanders’ campaign manager stated that the Sanders campaign has been reaching out to progressive groups and politicians, with the goal of consolidating more support quickly.

NPR wrote a centrist article reporting that after getting endorsements from Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, and Beto O’Rourke, Biden seemed to speak with a renewed vigor at his Dallas rally. Another centrist article by NPR reports that at the rally in Dallas, Klobuchar said that a unified party is crucial if Democrats want to beat President Trump, as her decision to endorse Biden comes one day before her home state is set to vote on Super Tuesday.

A right-leaning article by Fox News reports that according to American small business owners, Sanders’ platform of democratic socialism is a “de-motivator” for innovation. Co-founder of Higher Mind Noah Berman stated that he would encourage voters to examine how socialism would affect start-ups.
