Former Vice President Joe Biden slammed the Trump administration on Thursday for its response to the coronavirus pandemic. While left-leaning articles highlight that Sanders also flamed the Trump administration, right-leaning articles highlight that Biden criticized Trump for referring to the coronavirus as a “foreign virus.”
A left-leaning article by The New York Times highlights that Senator Bernie Sanders also flamed the president’s response, providing a long list of policy proposals aimed at helping low-income and working-class families. Biden also offered his own plan for combating the virus, including proposals that expand testing and boost hospital capacity.
NPR published a centrist article reporting that Biden stated that Trump risks exacerbating the spread of the virus by downplaying its severity. Meanwhile, Trump has defended his administration’s handling of the crisis.
The Daily Caller published a right-leaning article highlighting that Biden criticized Trump for calling coronavirus a “foreign virus,” and stated that America shouldn’t “fall back on xenophobia.” Democratic Minnesota Rep.
