On Wednesday, during the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Pardoning, Trump pardoned both Butter, and his companion Bread. While a left leaning article from the Washington Post comments on Pence’s “robust speech attacking the impeachment inquiry,” a right-leaning article from Town Hall writes, “Trump...couldn’t help but take a jab at Democrats”–going on to mock how he has “never met” some of those who have testified.

A left-leaning article by The Washington Post describes how the White House took the public appearance as a chance to forward their own agenda, saying: “Vice President Pence introduced Trump in a robust speech attacking the impeachment inquiry as a partisan crusade for Democrats who ‘know they can’t stop you from giving President Donald Trump four more years in the White House.’”

NPR published a centrist-leaning article provides a history of the tradition noting how Trump incorrectly named Lincoln as the first to spare a Thanksgiving Turkey. The article provides insight into the Turkey lobby, harkens back to the Ronald Reagan administration, George H.W. Bush and Kennedy’s Turkey Pardon in recounting an in-depth analysis of the tradition over different administrations.

A right-leaning article by Townhall recounts Trump’s mocking of the impeachment: "Thankfully Bread and Butter have been successfully raised by the Jacksons to remain calm under any condition which will be very important because they've already received subpoenas to appear in Adam Schiff's basement on Thursday. It's true. Hundreds of people have. It seems the Democrats are accusing me of being too soft on Turkey, but Bread and Butter I should note, unlike previous witnesses, you and I have met”–a commentary on how many of those who testified have never met the President himself.
