On Wednesday, the House of Representatives officially delivered articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also named the seven Democratic members of Congress as the managers who will argue the case for impeachment. While left-leaning articles recap new developments of the impeachment inquiry, right-leaning articles focus on the recent actions of Nancy Pelosi.

The New York Times published a left-leaning article highlighting recent key moments of the impeachment inquiry, including that members of the House hand-delivered impeachment articles to the Senate and plans to return Thursday to read them aloud. In addition, new details on Trump’s affair with Ukraine has put pressure on the Senate to consider additional evidence and testimony.

NPR published a centrist article reporting that the seven managers Pelosi appointed to act as impeachment managers bring a diverse range of experience. The article also recaps the reason for Trump’s impeachment inquiry, where Pelosi accused Trump of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. With this formal handover, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will take the reins from Pelosi, but the exact ground rules for Trump’s trial still remains unclear.

A right-leaning article by Fox News reports that Trump tweeted “Here we go again, another Con Job by the Do-Nothing Democrats” in response to Pelosi’s statement that the president is not above the law. The article also compares the seven impeachment managers Pelosi chose to Clinton’s impeachment in 1999, where there were thirteen House impeachment managers.
