We ran the numbers: There are 2002 news articles covering this topic. 43% (865) are left leaning, 38% (761) center, 19% (376) right leaning.

The Nevada Democratic Party caucuses kick off on Saturday, Feb. 22. While left-leaning articles highlight the influence of minority voters in Nevada, right-leaning articles focus on Trump’s rally in Nevada.

A left-leaning article by The New York Times highlights that no Democratic candidate for president can win the nomination if they don’t gain support from Nevada, as its population is 30 percent Latino, 10 percent African American, and about 9.5 percent Asian-American and Pacific Islander. As a state largely made up of minority communities, the issues that carry the most weight for Nevada voters relate to immigration, healthcare, affordable housing, and income inequality.

NPR published a centrist article reporting that billionaire businessman Tom Steyer has accounted for two-thirds of Democratic candidates’ total ad spending in Nevada. The article states that Bernie Sanders is the favorite candidate heading into the Nevada caucuses, where he lost by 5 percentage points in 2016, but showed strength with Latino voters. Meanwhile, Biden’s support from minority voters will face its first big test in Nevada.

A right-leaning article by Fox News reports that at a rally in Nevada the day before their caucuses, President Trump referred to a reported intelligence assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants him to win reelection in November as “disinformation.” He also said that Democrats “are crazy,” predicting that the Putin preference narrative will be the focus of a new probe.
