On Thursday, President Trump visited Ohio, arriving after Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced he tested positive for coronavirus but did not have symptoms. While left-leaning articles highlight that Biden pushed back against Trump’s attacks, right-leaning articles highlight that in a second COVID-19 test, DeWine tested positive.
A left-leaning article by The Washington Post highlights that Biden responded to Trump’s attacks, where he said the former vice president would “hurt the Bible” and “hurt God.” Biden said that for President Trump to attack his faith is “shameful” and that Trump’s comments reveal more about “him than they do about anyone else.”
The Hill published a centrist article reporting that DeWine planned to meet Trump at the tarmac but was tested as part of White House protocols for individuals who will be close to the president. In Cleveland, Trump attacked Biden’s faith in God, in addition to touring a whirlpool plant, where he delivered remarks touting his economic agenda.
A right-leaning article by Fox News highlights that in a second COVID-19 test, Governor Mike DeWine, his wife, and his staff tested negative. The second test was a PCR test, which looks for the specific RNA for SARS-CoV-2, which is the virus that causes COVID-19.
