President Trump announced new coronavirus guidelines for the next 15 days, which includes that Americans should avoid groups of more than 10 people. While left-leaning articles highlight that top officials in the Pentagon are going to be kept “physically separate,” right-leaning articles highlight that Trump praised his administration for their handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

A left-leaning article by CNN highlights that the Pentagon is attempting to keep top officials Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Deputy Defense Secretary David Norquist “physically separated” as a precaution against the coronavirus pandemic. However, President Trump did not agree with the approach of distancing between officials when asked if he and Vice President Mike Pence should follow the same procedures at the two top leaders at the Pentagon.

NPR published a centrist article reporting that President Trump urged people to avoid discretionary travel and going out to bars, restaurants, and food courts. Trump also indicated that he was open to changes in the House-passed coronavirus response bill that would enable more workers to receive paid sick leave.

Fox News published a right-leaning article reporting that President Trump gave his administration “a 10” in their handling of the coronavirus, despite criticisms regarding shortage of testing kits. The article also notes that Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams said that the United States is where Italy was two weeks ago in the coronavirus struggle, which means that infections are expected to rise.
