On Thursday, both Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and former national security adviser John Bolton said that President Trump is “unfit for office.” While left-leaning articles highlight that Bolton doesn’t think Trump has the competency to be president, right-leaning articles highlight that MSNBC host Chris Hayes blasted Bolton for his book.

A left-leaning article by The Washington Post highlights that in an interview with NBC News, Bolton said that he doesn’t think Trump “has the competence to carry out the job.” In tweets on Thursday morning, Trump said Bolton’s aim was to make him look bad and called the book “pure fiction.”

Reuters published a centrist article reporting that in Bolton’s new book, he accused Trump of sweeping misdeeds, such as seeking Chinese President Xi Jinping’s aid to win re-election in November. Meanwhile, Pelosi said she was consulting Democrats on whether to subpoena Bolton about the allegations in his upcoming book.

A right-leaning article by Fox News highlights that MSNBC host Chris Hayes blasted Bolton for the release of his book, “The Room Where It Happened.” Hayes accused Bolton for lobbying for a year to get a position in the administration and then immediately working on a book he could sell instead of doing his job.
