President Trump and his team declared victory on Thursday a day after being acquitted by the Senate on two articles of impeachment. Left-leaning articles report that Trump and his team celebrated in his Washington hotel, while right-leaning articles highlight the praise Trump received for his acquittal.
A left-leaning article by The New York Times highlights that Trump’s defense team, family, and administration celebrated Trump’s acquittal at the Trump International Hotel in downtown Washington. Amongst those who made an appearance was Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, White House spokesman Hogan Gidley, and Corey Lewandowski, the president’s former campaign manager.
